Dream Kitchens

I've been thinking a lot about the perfect kitchen for our very first new build <which will hopefully happen next year>. I have always loved big open spaces with lots of storage and bench space but with a distinct chic look that makes you want to spend time there. Here are the drool-worthy kitchens Ive been eying off- so far J approves!

So what have I learned? Apparently dark floors are my thing, they add a luxurious appeal to the space and its definitely something I will consider for our new build. Stone or granite bench tops are also on the list- there are so many colour/material options to choose from I think that it will be a tricky decision.

So enough of the airy white cabintry - time for some dark and sexy stuff!

Happy Birthday to me!

Okay so I'm a little late for my own birthday....it was actually on the 9th of September but J got me such a great pressie this year!
A voucher for the lighting store. At first I thought maybe some floor lamps or shades and then I wanted down lights throughout the house but installation costs were massive so I came up with the idea of pendant lighting and I found these guys for 50% off!!
I'm thinking of putting four of them through the living area.....they are a beautiful drum shade with gold on the inside for a bit of bling. I'm really loving them at the moment. Cant wait to see what J thinks :)
