Despite the lack of actual skill and know-how on my part- I'm pretty good at surfing the net, which means I'm like an expert
Cd's fit perfectly in the little drawers- this entire unit has our massive cd collection in it. . .
So I gave it a light sanding then a coat of primer- just using a foam roller. It was much quicker with a roller for the flat surfaces but I can imagine a brush would have been great for the little drawers.
After two coats of acrylic (I picked up from Bunnings for 8 bucks!) and here is the final product- I think it really lightens up the space :)
and the before just to see the difference!
I had a little trouble selecting the correct paint at first- when I first tried to get this colour paint the man at the desk told me I would have to buy a litre of oil based paint and the cheapest would be 40$. I think its important to get the right type of paint and make sure your not being over charged for something you don't need which is why I walked away and did a little more research into what I needed.
So that was my project for today- pretty happy with the results. I'm going to try and find another small piece of furniture to go in the laundry for more storage space. So hopefully I will have another little makeover coming along very soon!
